About this Role

We are looking for an exceptional Behaviour Manager to play a vital role in supporting young people to thrive. If you believe that positive relationships, high expectations and consistency can transform behaviour and life chances, this could be the role for you.

Working closely with staff, students and families, you will manage our Reset Room provision, ensuring that students continue learning, feel supported, and are successfully reintegrated into mainstream lessons.

About the role

As Behaviour Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operation of the Reset Room
  • Support students to engage with learning and minimise lost curriculum time
  • Promote a calm, consistent and fair approach to behaviour for learning
  • Work alongside pastoral and SEND teams to deliver targeted interventions
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers
  • Facilitate restorative conversations and support individual behaviour plans
  • Track, record and evaluate behaviour interventions and outcomes
  • Be a visible, trusted and respected presence within the College

This is a hands‑on role for someone who is passionate about inclusion, emotional wellbeing and helping young people succeed.

About you

You will:

  • Be values‑driven, demonstrating compassion, integrity, aspiration and collaboration
  • Have experience supporting young people, including those with challenging behaviour
  • Be confident managing behaviour in a structured, nurturing environment
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Understand SEND and the importance of targeted behavioural interventions
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Be calm under pressure, resilient, and solution‑focused

Experience working in a school setting is essential.

Why join Westcountry Schools Trust?

  • A strong, values‑led Trust committed to improving outcomes for all
  • A supportive pastoral culture with a focus on professional development
  • The opportunity to make a genuine, lasting impact on students’ lives
