We are seeking a passionate and
inspirational Teacher of Science to join our thriving Science Department at
Callington Community College. Our team benefits from a world‑class curriculum,

while retaining professional creativity, adaptability, and subject ownership.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key
Stage 4, with the ability to teach a specialist Science at Key Stage 5 being
highly desirable.
- Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons
that inspire curiosity, ambition, and success.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and
a commitment to continuous improvement of pedagogy and disciplinary expertise.
- Purposefully plan learning that ensures
all students—including those with SEND and disadvantage—are motivated,
supported, and able to make strong progress.
- Promote a culture of disciplinary reading
and a love of learning within Science.
- Contribute to curriculum development,
departmental improvement, and whole‑school initiatives.

About You:
- Hold QTS and a degree in a relevant
Science discipline.
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a
clear understanding of what outstanding teaching and learning looks like.
