About this Role

We are looking to appoint an Attendance Manager at Callington Community College. 

The Attendance Manager will support the effective operation of the College and works to uphold and promote its vision and values.  The Attendance Manager will lead on the effective implementation of the WeST Attendance Process and monitor and track student attendance data across the whole College.  The Attendance Manager will liaise with colleagues when students hit thresholds for attendance intervention including arranging for letters to be sent, Supportive Attendance Meetings (SAMs) to be held and liaising with colleagues and external agencies to address concerns related to student attendance and respond to matters relating to student’s attendance and any related safeguarding concerns on a daily basis as directed by the Senior Attendance Champion. 

The postholder  will work with the Assistant Principal for Attendance and the Trust's Education Welfare Officer  and families to develop plans to ensure all students’ attendance meets expectations to optimise learning and attainment for all.

The successful candidate will be well supported by a range of colleagues and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure their individual needs are met.
