The post is likely to be in Key Stage 2 but we would consider strong Key Stage 1 applicants. The role is fixed term to 31/08/2026 with a possibility to extend this should a permanent vacancy arise. As a school we are very careful around workload and wellbeing. We do this by:
- giving an extra full day of PPA release each term
- weekly release slot for subject leaders
- two-week half-term break for the long Autumn term
- make sure staff meetings are used so teachers can complete key tasks not add extra jobs to do later
- flexi-PPA time where possible
- minimal marking policy, using ‘in the moment verbal feedback’ as our core pedagogy
