About this Role

About this Role

At Silverstone CE Primary pupils and staff flourish together as a family.  We pride ourselves in having the highest expectations of what children can achieve academically, socially and spiritually. Parents speak very highly of our school and we attract pupils from beyond our catchment area.  We are a unique setting with the facilities of a new large primary school yet have the feel and community strengths of a small village school.  A real strength of Silverstone CE Primary is the close co-operation, communication and partnership between school and home.

This is a rare opportunity to join our fantastic team.  We are excited to be recruiting a brand-new Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND in KS2.  The successful candidate will support children in the classroom as well as delivering targeted interventions to specific children to enhance their academic and emotional development. The ideal candidate will work with a caring, passionate and professional attitude, along with a good sense of humour whilst upholding our high standards in school.

 We are seeking someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their contribution to our whole school community;
  • Has the ability to work confidently, effectively, flexibly and independently
  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Personal commitment to on-going professional development.
  • Shows initiative and creativity in different situations;
  • Is passionate about children’s safety and well-being;
  • Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.

Please see the attached Job Description to review all details of this role.

We can offer you:

  • A working atmosphere that is very much like one big family, from the children to the parents, staff and Governors.
  • An exciting opportunity to work within the wider aspirational SLT team that want to embrace your talents and skills.
  • Excellent CPD through being part of the Peterborough Diocesan Academy (PDET).
