Working Days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Working Hours:  8:00am - 4:00pm each day

                                      22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time, plus inset days).

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will work as a member of a class team as well as part of the wider school team.   The class team that you would be joining is Toucan Class which is a specialist childcare setting particularly suited to children aged two years who are coping with a range of challenges to their health and/or development.  We are seeking someone who:

- is comfortable working with families and professionals in the setting

- is able to respond to the needs of the children and the team

- work's flexibly and in other classes when needed

- engages playfully with the children, responding to their needs

- is reflective and adaptable

- has an interest in learning more about early childhood development / how we support learning and early play

We provide a safe and healthy environment for our children and you will work under the direction of the Teacher and the Senior Teaching Assistant.  You will also be involved in providing intimate care, managing challenging behaviour and actively participating in physical activities such as swimming and PE. 

Induction programmes and training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Willow Dene is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils attending the school.  As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon an Enhanced DBS check being completed. This post is also subject to a satisfactory probationary period and medical clearance.
