About this Role

Are you looking for an exciting creative new opportunity? 

Thursfield Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, who is a specialist in additional needs, to join its professional and friendly team to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. The position will be directly linked to a child’s Special Educational Needs and as such will be a fixed-term contract until 31/07/2026.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with SEN pupils
  • Will provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors to our school
  • Will contribute to creating a positive and creative learning environment
  • Is educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in numeracy and literacy skills
  • Is qualified to NVQ3 standard for Teaching Assistants
  • Has excellent ICT, communication and organisational skills
  • Fully understands and respects the importance of confidentiality
