About this Role

Thursfield Primary School is a vibrant one-and-a-half-form-entry school with a dedicated staff team and wonderful children. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, working as part of a values-led organisation that places people and relationships at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Clerical Assistant to provide general administrative, clerical and financial support to the school. Working under the direction and guidance of senior staff, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and provide a warm, professional welcome to parents, visitors and pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Is confident using IT systems and office applications
  • Can work efficiently in a busy environment and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in high-quality administration

In return, we can offer:

  • A values-led organisation where all staff are supported and encouraged to thrive
  • Friendly and collaborative colleagues across the Trust
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • Fantastic pupils who make every day rewarding

Key duties include:

  • Undertaking reception duties, answering routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and welcoming visitors to the school
  • Assisting with the organisation of school trips, events and activities
  • Providing general clerical and administrative support, including photocopying, filing, emailing and responding to routine correspondence
  • Maintaining manual and computerised records and supporting the use of the school’s management information systems

Thursfield Primary School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
