About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly effective leader to join our Senior Leadership Team in a newly created Assistant Headteacher role. Working closely alongside the Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher/SENDCo, the successful candidate will play a key strategic role in shaping and driving excellence in curriculum, teaching and learning across the school. The role will include leading curriculum development and implementation, supporting high-quality teaching through instructional coaching and professional dialogue, and championing staff professional growth at all stages of their career. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about achieving the very best outcomes for all children, values collaboration and teamwork, and has the ability to inspire, develop and empower others.

We are looking to appoint a person who:

  • is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of improving outcomes for children
  • has a deep understanding of high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum design
  • is passionate about curriculum development and ensuring ambitious outcomes for all pupils
  • has experience of leading and supporting staff development through coaching, mentoring and professional dialogue
  • is up to date with current educational research and evidence-informed practice
  • can inspire, motivate and develop others whilst building strong professional relationships
  • will contribute positively and actively to the strategic leadership of the school as part of the Senior Leadership Team
  • will support and further develop our Christian vision, values and ethos
  • has high expectations of themselves, staff and pupils
  • is committed to inclusion, equity and ensuring every child can flourish
  • has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • can work collaboratively whilst also showing initiative and strategic thinking
  • can speak fluent English in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)
  • who genuinely enjoys working with children and being part of a vibrant school community!
