Hours of work: 32.5hours
per week for 39 weeks per year
We are looking
for Teaching Assistants or Graduates wishing to pursue a career in
teaching, to work alongside the classroom
teachers in delivering the best possible outcomes for our children
and community.
The ideal applicants will need a relevant teaching qualification
or relevant experience of working with young children. We are looking for
enthusiastic and hardworking, creative practitioners, able to motivate pupils.
Suitable candidates will be confident in the classroom and have a good
understanding of the core principles of education and care. They will also
be confident when working in a team to support children with additional needs.
The successful candidates will join our Weston Mill team, joining
our classes across the school to support children with their education. It is
essential that all candidates have a good understanding of how children learn
and how you as a practitioner can support them in this.
Applicants
must have Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths GCSE, a good level of
spoken English, be a good team member and be able to develop positive behaviour
strategies with children. As a school on an improvement journey, we are able to
provide you with future opportunities to develop further.
In
addition, we are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking, creative
practitioners, able to motivate pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- be an excellent practitioner
· - it would be advantageous to have experience or a good working
knowledge of at least one of the following age groups: Early Years, KS1 or KS2
· - have
the skills and sensitivity to deal with all members of our community and
multi-agency partners

enthusiastic, driven and committed to ensuring the school's future success

to work as part of a friendly and supportive team
· - be a
life-long learner and an inspiration to others
· - be
successful in creating relationships with children, staff and families
· - be a
keen contributor to the wider school and community
Please note that GCSE English and Maths A* - C (or equivalent) is required for this role and certificates will need to be produced at interview. This is a fixed term contract in the first instance until July 2026.
We will be completing interviews as and when applications are received for successful candidates so various dates will be offered to candidates upon successful completion.
