We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious caretaker to join our estates team at Hillside Avenue Primary and Nursery. Duties include carrying out basic maintenance, building repairs and keeping the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy. We welcome applicants with experience of working within a caretaker or maintenance role ideally within a school environment. It is essential that applicants have good administrative, communication and ICT skills along with a good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises such as Health & Safety, COSHH, asbestos and legionella.
Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to be approachable, professional and reliable.
Broad Horizons Education Trust is a multi-academy Trust comprising 18 schools across Norfolk, which educate 7,500 children and young people and employ nearly 1200 people.
This post is 23 hours 45 minutes per week, all year round, worked Monday to Friday 1.30pm to 6.15pm. Flexibility is essential to cover absence and during school holidays.
