The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our Inclusion Faculty. Working under the guidance of teaching and senior support staff, you will support students who experience barriers to learning, including those with SEND, mobility needs, or English as an Additional Language. The role involves working with individuals and small groups across a range of subjects, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence and make meaningful progress. You will also contribute to wider school duties, such as supporting with personal care, pastoral needs, first aid, and supervising students during break, lunch, and school activities.

This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with teachers, colleagues, and key staff, keeping accurate records, attending meetings where required, and contributing to the positive ethos and inclusive culture of the school. As part of our commitment to professional development, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and support colleagues, with full training provided for first aid and other responsibilities.

About You

You will have experience of working with or caring for children and be able to build positive, supportive relationships with students and adults alike. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of learners. You should have literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to NQF Level 2 and an understanding of child development, the national curriculum, and strategies used to support students with SEND.

We are looking for someone who is patient, reliable and motivated, with a commitment to safeguarding and to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. You will bring flexibility, professionalism, and a readiness to engage in continuous self‑development. A willingness to undertake first aid training and comply with all Trust policies is essential.
