Grade 4. 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (38 term time +  1 week during holidays

£18,640 (Actual)

Working pattern: 8.30am - 3.30pm, 30 minutes lunch break

An Admin Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Office Manager to provide support associated administrative activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. The role is to provide confidential, effective, efficient and flexible administrative support to the school with minimal supervision.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
  • A good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks.
  • Has experience of working in an office environment.
  • Has a good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Is able to work in a team.
  • Is be self-motivated.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive visitors according to school procedures.
  • Deal with pupil, parent, staff and visitor enquiries by telephone or in person, answering routine queries where possible, giving and resolving non-complex queries within areas of responsibility or referring to appropriate person.
  • Check & record pupil absence on a daily basis and contact parents if necessary.
  • To be able to efficiently maintain the school databases.
  • To deal with all tasks related to admission and leavers.
  • Organise school visits and residential visits as required by class teachers.
  • To deal with all tasks related to admission and leavers.

  • Undertake routine cash handling duties.
  • Raise orders and check goods received are correct.
  • Any other duties suitable to the grade and role of administrative Assistant.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ 2 level qualification or equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade c or above
