Admissions & Attendance Officer (See Job Description & Personal Specification)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Admissions & Attendance Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our school, combining responsibility for leading attendance monitoring and intervention with managing the admissions process from enquiry through to enrolment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting excellent attendance by monitoring pupil absence, working closely with families, staff and external agencies, and supporting strategies that improve outcomes for children. They will also oversee all aspects of pupil admissions, act as an ambassador for the school by welcoming prospective families, conducting school tours and ensuring every family's experience reflects our warm and inclusive ethos.

Alongside these responsibilities, the role includes providing a professional reception service, maintaining accurate pupil records, supporting school communications and social media, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous school administration experience, ideally with attendance and admissions.

  • Is highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise a varied workload.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with families, pupils, staff and external agencies.

  • Is confident using school management information systems and analysing attendance data.

  • Is committed to safeguarding, confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service.
