The Caretaker will work within the ACET Site Team, to provide of an effective caretaking service for Swinton Academy; and to carry out any reasonable instructions in line with the level of responsibility for the post.
The ACET estates are maintained at a high standard and we continually strive to improve them. The caretaker(s) will contribute to ensuring contracts for maintenance are effectively managed and access to the site by contractors is controlled. They will liaise with outside agencies and contractors, and ensure the security of all ACET sites is maximised. As part of the site team, caretakers are responsible for ensuring long term plans are maintained for maintenance and the operational requirements of the academies are met.
There is an expectation that whilst the post is based at a particular academy, the post-holder will be required to work at other academies within the trust when needed, to ensure the most efficient and effective service for all the academies within the trust.

Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration related to their criminal record or any information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Additional checks in relation to the Childcare Disqualification Regulations will be undertaken for successful candidates to junior academies. If you have lived or worked outside of the UK, additional information may be required from you to satisfy safer recruitment checks.
