About this Role

Job title: Level 1B Teaching Assistant 

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: ALT Grade C Actual Salary £18,650.78 - £18,943.38 plus retention allowance

Working Pattern: Monday 8.30am to 4.00pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.40am to 3.30pm

Start date: As soon as possible

This role is for 32.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday.  Please note that part-time hours are not available for this role. 

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities.
  • Provide individual and small-group support for students with diverse needs.
  • Promote independence and confidence in students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
