About this Role

Teaching Assistant 

Location: Highfield Ely Academy, Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade C, £24,027 - £24,404 FTE per annum

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities.
  • Provide individual and small-group support for students with diverse needs.
  • Promote independence and confidence in students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
