About this Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual(s) who is/are eager to make a difference to the lives of children, through a voluntary classroom support opportunity at Horton Park Primary School.

The role will involve;

  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups of pupils, to enhance their learning
  • Work in collaboration with Classroom Teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils
  • One to one intervention sessions with pupils, to build confidence and apply targeted learning 
  • Reading with pupils, to promote fluency and enjoyment

What we're looking for;

  • Special individuals who are friendly, passionate and eager with a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to complete required training, including Keeping Children Safe in Education Training
  • Basic understanding of educational practices and child development (preferred but not essential)
