You will:
Articulate and implement a compelling vision for English aligned with school and Trust priorities
Lead curriculum design, assessment and quality assurance with measurable impact
Apply principles from cognitive science to strengthen teaching, retention and pupil independence
Coach and develop colleagues through modelling, feedback and purposeful CPD
Use monitoring intelligently to drive improvement, not compliance
Strengthen inclusive practice through early identification, adaptive teaching and high-quality first teaching that secures ambitious outcomes for pupils with additional needs
Contribute to Trust subject networks and wider school improvement work
You will remain a class teacher, modelling excellence and credibility every day.
You will:
Be an outstanding KS2 practitioner with proven impact on outcomes
Have expert knowledge of the English curriculum and effective pedagogy
Demonstrate a secure understanding of cognitive science and its practical application
