About this Role

About the role:

We are looking to recruit an outstanding, full-time Class Teacher from September 2026, on a permanent contract to work initially with KS2 children. This is a full time post. This post is suitable for ECTs.
Conway is a 2 form entry primary school in the heart of Birmingham serving the local areas of Sparkbrook, Sparkhill, Hall Green and further afield. Pupils join us from the age of 3 and leave us at the age of 11 having built the stepping stones to enable them to achieve their dreams. Staff at the school have a wealth of experience, many of them having taught at Conway for many years and so understand the community and work tirelessly to meet the needs of the children.

We are part of Create Partnership Trust which gives us access to support, resources and high quality training opportunities. As such, our teaching is kept up to date to ensure that we meet the needs of all our learners.
Key Responsibilities:
·       Have regard to the school’s curriculum with a view to promoting the development of the abilities and aptitudes of the pupils in any class or group assigned.
·       Plan and prepare courses and lessons.
·       Teach assigned pupils according to their educational needs including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupils in school and elsewhere.
·       Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
·       Promote the general progress and well-being of individual pupils and of any class or group assigned.
·       Communicate and consult with stakeholders
·       Participate in collaborative planning, timetabling and teaching as required.
·       Provide guidance and advice to pupils on personal, educational and social matters, being sensitive to the religious and cultural needs of the communities.
