The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as a class teacher 3 days a week for one academic year (initially), motivating and supporting the pupils to achieve. We are looking for someone to be a part of the children's learning journey, providing experiences and opportunities beyond the expectations of the curriculum.
Key Tasks:
Motivate and stimulate a child's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience
Provide pastoral care and support to children within a secure learning environment
Assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities
Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources
Help children develop curiosity and knowledge
Build and maintain relationships with parents
Observe, assess and record each child's progress
Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the setting
About You:
Graduate with appropriate degree (Hons)
PGCE/Qualified Teacher Status
Experience with curriculum development work
Experience of attaining and analysing a class set of data
Experience across the age and ability range
Ability to work in a team
Excellent classroom skills
Creativity and flexibility
Commitment to developing teaching and learning
