About this Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site technician to join St Peter's C of E Primary Academy as part of St Chad's Academies Trust. This is a key role in ensuring our academy environment is safe, secure, clean and well maintained for pupils, colleagues and visitors.

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the academy site and buildings, carrying out routine maintenance, basic repairs and health and safety checks, and responding promptly to issues as they arise. You will be responsible for opening and securing the premises, overseeing site security, and supporting the smooth running of the academy on a day-to-day basis.

You will work closely with academy leaders and Trust colleagues to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, statutory checks and Trust policies. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve occasional out-of-hours working, including early mornings, evenings or supporting events.

We are looking for someone who is practical, dependable and able to work independently, with a positive attitude and strong awareness of safeguarding and site safety. Previous  site management experience is desirable, but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

St Chad's Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

The Trust is committed to being a Flexible Employer and welcomes open discussion around flexible working options.
