Main purpose of the job:
This role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) plays a vital part in supporting teaching and learning across our school. You will plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes, and confidently lead lessons when needed, including covering teacher absence. The role involves working closely with teachers to support pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs, and helping to remove barriers so all pupils can achieve their potential. You will also monitor progress, provide feedback, support behaviour and wellbeing, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. In addition, the role may include leading on a specialist area and supporting other teaching assistants, helping to drive whole-school improvement.
