About this Role

After School Club Assistant

Basis: Part Time, Permanent

Salary: Band 2 SCP (3-5) £24,796 - £25,583

Actual Salary: £4,190.61 - £4,323.61

Hours: 7.25 Hours over 39 weeks per year

St Joseph's Catholic Voluntary Academy is a warm and welcoming school.  We are looking for someone to join our Wraparound Care Team to work alongside our existing Assistant in our busy After School Club which runs from 3.15 to 5.00pm each day.  The successful candidate will supervise the children and provide them with enriching and engaging play opportunities.  Normal working hours will be from 3.00pm  until 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.  Please note that there may be some days when attendance up to 6.00pm will be required however notice will be given when this is needed.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team to supervise pupils at After School Club
  • Promoting pupils’ independence, inclusion and cooperation
  • Maintaining the safety and welfare of pupils at After School Club

If you enjoy working with children and you are a great communicator then we want to hear from you.  The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative to respond appropriately to the needs of pupils and support pupils to engage in activities at the end of the school day.
