Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College is an improving school. We are an ambitious, community-focused academy of just over 1400 students serving an area of social deprivation on the southern edge of Bradford and seven miles from Leeds. BBEC is popular locally and is rapidly becoming the school of choice for the community of Buttershaw.

We are looking to appoint a Catering Manager to join our professional and dedicated catering team; applicants should have experience of catering in high volume catering operations, hold a City and Guilds 706 (i) and (ii), basic food hygiene certificate (or higher) and have experience of managing industrial or commercial catering operations.  .

As Catering Manager, you will have operational responsibility for this secondary school in Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will be focusing on delivering the highest quality of food and service to our students and staff.

Duties to include:

  • Planning menus efficiently, to produce high-quality menus on a daily basis, attractive to young people that are compliant with relevant school food standards/legislation
  • Ordering and storing of goods in line with purchasing & stock holding procedures
  • Managing food production, stock and waste control
  • To lead & manage the catering team on a day-to-day basis
  • To manage all hygiene, health and safety policies and practices and COSHH regulations in line with the documented schedules, HACCP, due diligence practices and allergen management for a food operation
