Level 2 Teaching Assistant

 Point 5 (FTE £25,583 per year, approx. £7,680 Pro-rata)

Working 13 hours, working 39 weeks per year

Wisbech St Mary CofE Academy are seeking to recruit a part-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to ensure statutory staffing ratios are maintained and to provide high-quality support for our youngest learners. This role is essential to safeguarding, delivering the Early Years curriculum effectively, and meeting the care and developmental needs of children within the Nursery. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with experience of supporting young children in an educational or childcare setting highly desirable.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

·       Have experience of working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant

·       Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

·       Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education

·       Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload

·       Be able work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils

·       Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative

·       Be able to work flexibly and professionally

About Role
