About this Role

Dawley C of E Primary Academy, part of St Chads Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint an ambitious and values-driven Assistant Headteacher to join our senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils and contributing to the strategic direction of a thriving academy.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping teaching and learning, driving high standards of behaviour and inclusion, and supporting staff development. Working closely with the Trust Headteacher and wider Trust colleagues, you will help translate strategic priorities into operational practice and ensure consistency, accountability and impact across the academy.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate, challenge and support colleagues. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion, and share the Trust’s values and vision for excellence in education.

In return, we offer a supportive Trust environment, high-quality professional development opportunities, and the chance to work collaboratively with colleagues across our academies. This role provides excellent preparation for future senior leadership and headship.

Dawley C of E Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake enhanced DBS checks and other relevant pre-employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

The Trust is committed to being a Flexible Employer and welcomes open discussion around flexible working options.

Visits to the academy are welcomed.
