We are looking for a Pastoral Manager driving daily operational excellence across three SEND sites, leading calm, consistent routines and championing the wellbeing, safety and engagement of pupils with ASD as a key member of Venturers’ Academy’s wider pastoral team.

Hours of work:

Monday: 7.30am – 3.30am

Tuesday: 7.30am – 3.15am

Wednesday: 7.30am – 4.00pm

Thursday: 7.30am – 3.00pm

Friday: 7.30am – 3.00pm

Key responsibilities: 

• Daily operational leadership ensuring the site is prepared, staffed appropriately and ready for learning.
• Pastoral support for pupils promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Safeguarding vigilance: identifying concerns, following procedures and working with DSLs to maintain a safe environment.
• Supporting staff with behaviour and wellbeing strategies and modelling best practice and offering guidance in autism specific approaches.
• Liaison with families and external professionals to ensure communication is timely, supportive and solution focused.

Pay range: 

• NJC 22-26 - £29,639.20 - £32,788,78
• FTE £33,699.00 - £37,280.00
• 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications and Skills: 

• GCSEs A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
• Full driving licence
• Ability to remain calm, solution focused and consistent under pressure
• Strong organisational and logistical planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff and families
• Confident in managing incidents and making decision quickly
