We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to follow work plans approved by the teaching staff, provide direct support for the learning of the individual child or groups of children and to achieve defined progression targets in a child's learning plan and in class plans.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop the physical, emotional and educational development of children.
  • Supervise and encourage safe behaviour of individuals and groups.
  • Promote the required standards of achievement and performance through structured assessment.
  • Assist in the development, monitoring, reviewing and progression of children's learning plans
  • Attend to the day to day needs of children by provision of personal, social, hygiene, welfare and behaviour support for students.

 Pay range: 

  • NJC8-13 - £23,592.44 - £25,562.59 - FTE £26,824.00 - £29,064.00. 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Resilience to work under pressure.
  • Positive, personable and optimistic.
  • Effective use of IT.
  • Ability to communicate and relate to staff, students and parents.
