Southgate School wishes to attract a high-quality applicant who can support the Head of Department through the next phase of its development.
Therefore, a £3000 recruitment incentive payment will be available for a successful candidate applying directly to Southgate School. This is payable after a qualifying period of two full terms in post and includes a 2-year retention period. Please see our attached information sheet for more details.
The department teaches a wide range of Business
courses, including GCSE, A Level and Vocational OCR at Level 2 and 3. Business Studies is a popular subject at both key stages
in the school and achieves some of the best student outcomes. We want a
reflective practitioner and somebody who is able to build on their strengths in
teaching Business Studies as the department strives to act as a beacon of
excellence in the Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role and
support the Head of department in implementing the Department’s
Improvement plans, while exhibiting Quality First Teaching and adhering to the
School's stated vision and values. The successful candidate will be
able to demonstrate an ability to inspire a love of learning and teach
creatively. You will be supported by outstanding colleagues who know and
understand the school and will ensure that the journey to Outstanding is a
collaborative one.
