About this Role

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Boringdon Primary School

Grade: 28.75 hours as TA at Grade C and 2.25 hours at Grade E as HLTA to cover PPA

Hours: 31 hours per week, 38 weeks a year

Boringdon Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of a committed team, supporting the teaching and learning of our pupils. The person appointed will need to be self-motivated, have good communication and organisational skills and a friendly manner.

The Teaching Assistant will support the teaching staff in providing an outstanding education to all our children, to ensure learning objectives for pupils are achieved and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Promoting and embedding the school’s ethos and values in everyday activities. Work may be conducted in the classroom or may take place outside the classroom.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Successful in using strategies to engage and enthuse young children
  • Committed to children’s progress and able to make detailed observations of children’s learning
