Are
you a passionate and experienced Class Teacher who believes in creating a
stimulating, enabling, learning environment? Looking for a fresh challenge?
Want to be part of an ambitious school with a supportive team and wonderful
children. If
you are motivated about developing the curriculum, raising standards and
providing stimulating learning experiences, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for an EYFS Teacher.
We are seeking to appoint an
experienced EYFS Class Teacher at Upton
St James, a wonderful and inclusive school in the Upton area of Torquay. Upton
St James is based in a Victorian school building but hold modern, nurturing
values and pride ourselves on our strong community links. Our Christian Ethos
helps to create a warm, calm atmosphere, whilst priding ourselves on our high
achievements. The Academy is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 21
Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a
rich network of collaboration. The Trust will build a package of exceptional
continuous professional development around the appointed teacher.
We are looking for a rigorous practitioner to
bring learning to life for our pupils in our mixed age classes. You will be experienced
and skilful in challenging each pupil, whatever their starting point, using
your strong pedagogical practice and philosophy so that every pupil can truly
‘Rise their best!’ The class you will lead will be discussed at interview,
based on your knowledge and experience. With high expectations, you will be used
to being proactive, as well as collaborating with others. We are looking for
the appointed teacher to hold subject leader responsibilities, with the
subjects open for discussion at interview.
This is an exciting role that will help
shape the future development of the school. In joining Upton, you will
be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. You
will develop your teaching and leadership skills in a Trust that has a strong
focus on CPD.
