26.25hrs per week Teaching Assistant Duty NJC Grade C
5hrs per week Mealtime Assistant Duty NJC Grade A
To commence September 2026
This post is to primarily work in KS2 providing general support for the learning of the classes under the direction of the teacher.
There will be a requirement to perform a mealtime assistant duty each day also, so flexibility and adaptability is a preference. Please note this is a temporary post initially for up to 12 months , but there is often the possibility of further roles across the Trust for experienced and skilled individuals, so future employment may be possible beyond this.
We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively. You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. It would also be beneficial to have experience of working with children with complex needs.

Ideally, you will:
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
- Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;
- Be willing to work as part of a team;
- Be able to use your own initiative when required;
- Have experience in a similar role in a school
You should have a good knowledge of phonics plus literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
