Are you a skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist ready to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? Wellspring Trust are looking for a Specialist OT to join us, providing support across 6 specialist schools in West and North Yorkshire.
As a Specialist OT, you’ll work autonomously while being part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners. You’ll provide direct therapy, advice, training, and support to students, staff, and families, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage your own caseload of students across schools, working closely with teachers, teams, and families.
Conduct holistic assessments using clinical expertise and observation.
Lead your professional growth, including appraisals, goal setting, and training opportunities.
Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
Monitor and manage risk while supporting colleagues to build awareness.
Contribute to service development and innovation in clinical practice.
Engage in specialist interest areas and professional networks to enhance practice.

We are a mixed community of mainstream Secondary and Primary, Special, and Alternative Provision schools. We operate in eight local authority areas, spanning South, West and North Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, aligned with NHS Agenda for Change Band 6 £33,206 - £40,102 actual annual salary.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Term time only (39 weeks).
Location: Employed by Springwell Leeds Academy, working across a designated group of special schools and alternative provision settings within NWYSP, with an expectation of travel
