Cygnus Academies Trust is inviting internal expressions of interest for the role of Headteacher at Westgate Primary School. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal leader to take on substantive Headteacher responsibility, leading the school’s strategic direction, culture and continued improvement, while working collaboratively within the wider Trust leadership teams.

The Role

As Headteacher, you will:

• Provide clear, inspiring and strategic leadership for Westgate Primary School
• Secure high‑quality teaching and learning and positive outcomes for all pupils
• Foster a safe, inclusive and ambitious culture where children and staff thrive
• Lead and develop staff, ensuring high professional standards and wellbeing
• Work in close partnership with the Trust, governance and central teams
• Take overall responsibility for safeguarding, pupil welfare and standards

The post holder will be supported within Cygnus Academies Trust’s established leadership network and central services, and will work collaboratively with senior Trust leaders.
