We are searching for the best education professionals to join our trust. Are you passionate about making a difference to our children’s learning? Do you understand the importance of education?

Pool Hayes Academy are looking to appoint a motivated, independent, and hardworking individual to fill the post of Assistant Head of Year.  This is a non-teaching role.  The successful candidate must demonstrate a proactive interest in education and a desire to support the school in achieving the best possible outcomes for all students.

The purpose of this role is to enable every student to fulfil their potential as individual learners, effective citizens and well-rounded individuals.  The Assistant Head of Year will lead a team of tutors and influence all staff, as well as parents/carers and all stake holders, in raising aspiration and improving outcomes for all.

The ideal candidate will have a good basic education to GCSE level (to include English and Maths), have completed relevant courses such as coaching/mentoring/study support and previously worked with young people.  You will be an ambitious professional and will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.

Why choose Pool Hayes Academy? We have experienced substantial growth in recent years and the academy is now a provider of choice in the area and is over-subscribed. Our Ofsted rating has improved to Good in April 2022 – but that’s just the beginning of our ambition for the pupils and staff at this 11-18 academy.

Our vision for Pool Hayes Academy means that any pupil regardless of circumstance can fulfil their potential. Furthermore, we believe that educational success leads to empowerment for our young people and the freedom to make more choices over their future.

About Academy Transformation Trust

Our ATT2030 Vision means we meet our young people where they are at and refuse to leave them there.  Our pupils will leave us capable, competent and confident and take their place in the community of educated people.  Our staff will be cared for, developed and they do will be capable, competent and confident.  We would love to hear from those who want to join us in that mission.

In return, you can expect fantastic Professional Development opportunities, a comprehensive employee benefits package, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme.

Pool Hayes Academy is part of the Academy Transformation Trust family, whose ambition is that every person who passes through our schools and colleges becomes an educated person – able to take a rightful place in the community of educated people and to join what Robert Maynard Hutchins called “the Great Conversation.” An ATT education stresses history, the scientific mode of thinking, the disciplined use of language, a wide-ranging knowledge of the arts and religion, and the continuity of human enterprise. We aspire for everyone, regardless of their starting point, to leave us capable, competent, and confident.
