is seeking to appoint a
Level 2 Teaching Assistant (fixed-term)
Point 5 (FTE £24,790 per year, approx. £10,028 Pro-rata)
17.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday 11.45am - 3.15pm
Commencing: April 2025
DEMAT and the Riverside Academy are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and energetic person who has experience of building positive relationships with children.
About You
To be successful
in this role, you will ideally:
·
Have experience of working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant
·
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the
welfare of children and young people
·
Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving
children’s life chances through education
·
Be highly organised, conscientious and able to
set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
·
Be able work cooperatively and communicate
clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
·
Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability
to use their initiative
·
Be able to work flexibly and professionally
About Role
The role includes supporting SEN pupils under the supervision of the class teacher, some classroom support and targeted intervention work with groups.
As an academy we have made great progress in recent years and our desire is to secure staff who will agree that it is essential to ensure the children are provided with opportunities; are delivered varied challenges and who have respect of each other and the world, through a rich, creative curriculum which widens and deepens their learning.
