About this Role

Hill View Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join the School in April 2025.

Post: [260115] Teaching Assistant

Location: Hill View Primary, Hill View Road, Bournemouth, BH10 5BD                                       

Salary Range: NJC Bournemouth Grade 3, Point 4-6, £25,185- £25,898, per annum, pro rata

Actual Salary: £18,172 - £18,752 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time and term time only (39 weeks per year).

Contract Hours: 30 hours per week. Working hours will be 8.45am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with a 15 min break in the morning and 30 minute lunch break.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant, which will involve working with SEND pupils, as well as support across the year group and who are keen to develop their practice working within a supportive and co-operative team. We are looking for candidates that are hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic about children’s achievement. The Teaching Assistant chosen will need to participate in the everyday learning of young children and be prepared to become fully involved in all the activities needed to stimulate and inspire young children’s imaginations. In house training and support will be provided as well as excellent training opportunities from outside agencies.

 

We are looking for candidates who have a passion and desire to accelerate the progress and raise the achievement of all our children. We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

  • Hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or other      relevant qualification in nursery work or childcare
  • GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience of working with Primary children aged 4-11 years and their families
  • Experience of working with children with a range of SEND
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships with mutual respect
  •  Have an ability to work independently and use own initiative
  •  Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
  •  Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, be adaptable and open to new ideas and practices
  •  Able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  •  Emotionally resilient and self-aware
  • Be driven by a passion and commitment to inclusive education and raising standards for all
