About this Role

Elston Hall Learning Trust is seeking an inspirational, experienced Headteacher to lead Elston Hall Primary School. Elston Hall is one of the largest primary schools in Wolverhampton, catering to 680 pupils who are proud of their school!

As Headteacher, you will provide clear, values-driven leadership, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes. You will lead the day-to-day running of the school, developing a positive and inclusive culture where pupils and staff can thrive, while working closely with Executive Leaders and colleagues across the Trust to drive continuous improvement.

We are looking for a strong and experienced leader with a proven track record in primary education, who can inspire others, build effective teams, and use data and self-evaluation to secure sustained school improvement. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a prospective leader to build on secure foundations while shaping the next phase of the school’s journey. There is clear scope to further strengthen consistency, raise outcomes for all groups of learners, and continue to develop high‑quality teaching and learning across the school.

Our newly appointed Headteacher will benefit from comprehensive support across the Trust. This includes school improvement expertise and access to centralised core services, enabling them to prioritise educational excellence and pupil outcomes. In addition, as part of our Trust, the Headteacher will join a network of supportive and caring colleagues—professionals who celebrate each other’s successes and provide encouragement and collaboration during times of challenge.

Elston Hall Learning Trust is dedicated to achieving the highest standards in education, striving for excellence in all areas of learning and ensuring that both pupils and staff are supported to reach their full potential. We invest in the professional growth of our people and offer various opportunities for professional development to help you continuously improve and advance in your career.

You will be part of a supportive community where teamwork and shared goals are highly valued, and our Trust fosters an inclusive culture, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.

The post holder must be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s and school’s policies and procedures in connection with Child Protection and Safeguarding.
