We are one of the most successful schools in Luton and have a thriving 6th form with 300 students. We have been consistently described by Ofsted as a ‘good’ school and under Section 48 as an ‘outstanding Catholic school’.

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to support the class teacher in all aspects of teaching and enhance learning opportunities for pupils, supporting the development of subject knowledge and practical skills for pupils with SEND.

The post holder will provide support for pupils with SEND within the classroom, under the direction of the teacher, to enable pupils to meet their full potential.  They will develop the skills and expertise necessary to be able to give feedback to stakeholders on pupil progress, and give the required access arrangements.  Within the classroom, they will aid with the development of a purposeful, safe and motivating learning environment, that incorporates inclusivity for all.  The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with teachers, other teaching assistants, parents and outside agencies to provide a holistic approach.  This includes the role of mentoring individual pupils to support their progress in all aspects of their education, including social, emotional and literacy needs.  Further interventions will be delivered for those that require the additional support.

Training and support will be given for applicants that are new to the role.
