About this Role

This vacancy is for Monday - Friday 7.20am to 8.35 am  Term Time Only.


Under the direction of the Line Manager, you will provide high standards of care, creative play opportunities and age-appropriate activities in a nurturing, fun and safe environment for children. You will assist in the preparation, serving and cleaning duties associated with providing breakfast. 

The breakfast club provides a quiet and comfortable space for reading, space for free play as well as more structured activities. Each morning a nutritious breakfast is provided, and the children are encouraged to help themselves, sit down, talk together, and then clear up their dishes.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining a daily register of children attending
  • Preparing and serving food (Food Hygiene training will be provided)
  • Knowing and putting into practice all relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that the premises are safe, secure, and welcoming to all
  • Working alongside colleagues and in partnership with parents/carers to meet the needs of the children
  • Working alongside staff members to ensure that general tasks are completed at the end of sessions, ensuring that the space is left clean and organised
