About this Role
We are looking for a caring, patient and committed SEN
Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference to the
life of a child with additional needs.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider
school team, you will provide tailored support for a child with an Education,
Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or SEND plan, helping them to access learning,
develop independence and build confidence throughout the school day.
You will play an important role in assisting with planning,
delivering and monitoring learning activities that meet the child's individual
needs. This will include adapting learning resources, supporting communication
and interaction, encouraging positive relationships with peers, and using
effective behaviour support strategies to help the child achieve their full
potential.
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient
and committed to inclusive education. The successful candidate will
demonstrate:
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- The
ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families
and colleagues.
- Empathy,
patience and an understanding of individual learning needs.
- Confidence
in using positive behaviour management strategies.
- The
ability to adapt learning activities and respond flexibly to changing
needs.
- A
calm, positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
- A
willingness to work closely with external agencies and continually develop
their own practice through training and professional learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a supportive
and dedicated team where every day brings the chance to make a lasting impact
on a child's learning, wellbeing and future.
