About this Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher who believes every child can succeed regardless of their additional needs?  Do you want to work in a welcoming and supportive school where staff wellbeing and professional development are valued? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, inspiring and committed teacher to join the dedicated team at Whitehouse PRU. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils in re-engaging with learning and developing positive social and emotional skills.

Our core purpose is to support pupils in preparing to return successfully to mainstream education or to transition to the most appropriate longer-term provision. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and who is committed to maximising the educational and social opportunities available for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passionate and creative classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils
  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for every child
  • Someone who can inspire and motivate pupils through engaging teaching and a nurturing approach
  • A reflective and proactive professional who works well as part of a team
  • A commitment to the wider life of the school and ongoing professional development

We Offer:

  • A supportive and caring staff team and leadership who value work-life balance
  • Enthusiastic, well-behaved children who enjoy learning
  • A strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development
  • A commitment to staff well-being including annual employee survey where we really listen to staff!
  • Employee benefits such as access to the Teachers Pension Scheme, free parking, free flu vaccinations, access to 24/7 GP service for you and your family as well as other EAP support.

Whether you’re at the start of your teaching journey or looking to take the next step in your career, we welcome your application.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged – come and see what makes our school a special place to work and learn.  Please contact the school on 01482 303300 to make arrangements.

Closing date: Friday 15th May at 9 am. Interviews to be held week commencing 18th May 2026
