We are looking for two dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team.

The successful candidates will each provide individualised support to a pupil, helping to engage with the curriculum and develop their skills in a positive, nurturing environment.

 

Required to start as soon as possible!

27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only


About the Role:

We are looking for someone:

  • Who will provide one-to-one support for a student with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met by fostering their social-emotional development, building independence, self-confidence, and self-regulation skills, all while maintaining a supportive environment.
  • Who possesses a patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • To foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that nurtures a pupil’s growth and builds their confidence.
  • To provide individualised support to a pupil, assisting with tasks as directed by the teacher, and adapting teaching methods and materials to suit the pupil's unique learning needs and strengths.
  • To collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver targeted interventions that support the child’s learning and development.
  • To monitor the pupil’s progress, documenting achievements and areas for improvement, and share feedback with the SENDCo, parents, and other professionals as needed
  • Experience working with SEND students in a similar role is desirable 

Key Responsibilities

·         Support an individual pupil or pupils with their learning, personal care, and behaviour in line with their education plan.

·         Assist with implementing learning activities, adapting resources, and providing one-to-one support during lessons.

·         Promote the pupil’s independence, confidence, and social development.

·         Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher, reporting any concerns or achievements.

·         Support the pupil during breaks, lunchtime, and off-site activities as required.

·         Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

·         Assist with preparing resources and setting up activities tailored to the pupil’s needs.
