Help Us Raise Aspirations and Break Down Barriers
Blessed William Howard Catholic High School is seeking a passionate and committed Inclusion Champion to support the delivery of our successful Raising Aspirations Fund programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a member of staff who is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and wants to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
As our Inclusion Champion, you will play a key role in ensuring all students can access opportunities, feel valued and achieve their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance. Working closely with staff, students, families and external partners, you will help remove barriers to participation, support disadvantaged and underrepresented students, and promote a culture where every young person can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the school community.
- Support the successful delivery of the Raising Aspirations Fund objectives and outcomes.
- Promote a culture of belonging where every student feels valued and supported.
- Identify and help remove barriers that prevent students from accessing opportunities and achieving success.
- Act as a point of contact for students requiring additional support and signpost appropriate interventions.
- Gather feedback and evidence to demonstrate the impact of the programme.
- Encourage student voice, particularly among underrepresented groups.
- Support the development of inclusive practices and contribute to staff awareness and training.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A genuine commitment to inclusion, equality and improving outcomes for young people.
- Experience of working with young people, community groups or inclusion-focused initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in advocating for the needs of disadvantaged or marginalised individuals.
- The ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families and external agencies.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Empathy, enthusiasm and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
