 ·         Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to further develop the skills you bring to an existing role as a teaching assistant or para-educator?

 ·         Would you like to work in a school where staff well-being is central to all decisions?

If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, then we would love to hear from you!

Waingels is seeking to appoint a committed, hard working Literacy Intervention and Inclusion Para Educator (IIP) to join our friendly, skillful team of Teaching Assistants and Para-educators, to focus on the provision of support and intervention for our students with literacy difficulties.

Waingels are committed to supporting an inclusive education for all, built around mutual respect and kindness for every member of our school community. Our Inclusion and Intervention Team work closely with students, parents/carers, teachers and outside agencies to ensure that all students can fully participate and make the most of every opportunity that is presented to them. The Inclusion and Intervention Team’s vision is that every pupil should be a responsible and positive learner who is resilient to change.

Waingels is proud to offer students support within lessons, additional support through after school interventions and a designated fully equipped literacy intervention room. We strongly believe that alongside educational excellence, it is vital that we equip every student with the skills needed to achieve the most out of life and to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

As an IIP at Waingels you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of the inclusion team to help support our students in achieving their learning goals. The successful candidate would be expected to complete assessments of students, plan and deliver intervention sessions for small groups or 1:1, liaise with classroom teachers to share strategies and track and monitor student progress. Comprehensive training will be provided to support you in this role, alongside a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous CPD.

If you feel your value and ethos align with ours, this is an exciting opportunity for you.
