Waingels is seeking to appoint a committed, hard working Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our friendly, skillful team of Teaching Assistants and Para-Educators, to focus on the provision of support and intervention for our students with additional learning needs.

Waingels are committed to supporting an inclusive education for all, built around mutual respect and kindness for every member of our school community. We provide enhanced support for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our Inclusion and Intervention Team work closely with students, parents/carers, teachers and outside agencies to ensure that all students are able to fully participate and make the most of every opportunity that is presented to them. The Inclusion and Intervention Team’s vision is that every pupil should be a responsible and positive learner who is resilient to change.

We strongly believe that alongside educational excellence, it is necessary to equip every student with the skills needed to achieve the most out of life and to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  As a Teaching Assistant at Waingels you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team to help support our SEND students in achieving their learning goals. The role includes supporting students in the classroom, working alongside teachers and where necessary, undertaking small group intervention. This is therefore an ideal role for candidates who are caring and committed to helping our students access the curriculum and succeed with their learning.  The successful candidate would be expected to help and support students in a range of different subjects, as well as undertaking duties at break and lunchtime within the Den.

We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, resilient and has a passion for ensuring all students have the opportunity of accessing the National Curriculum. If you feel your values and ethos align with ours, this is an exciting opportunity for you!
