About this Role

Aegir School, part of the Inspire Connected Communities Trust, provides specialist education for pupils aged 11–19 with a wide range of additional needs.

Although our pupils are of secondary age, most are working at an EYFS to Key Stage 2 developmental level.
This role would suit teachers with a passion for personalised learning, including those with primary or SEND experience.

We are a nurturing, values-led school with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, individualised learning pathways and enabling every pupil to thrive.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a committed, creative and flexible teacher to join our team. You will teach a small class of pupils with diverse needs, delivering a highly personalised, multi-sensory curriculum.

You will work closely with a skilled team of Learning Support Assistants to create engaging, meaningful learning experiences that support both academic and personal development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an enthusiastic and reflective teacher committed to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
  • has experience or interest in teaching pupils working at EYFS/primary developmental levels within a secondary setting
  • can deliver creative, multi-sensory learning tailored to individual needs
  • understands how to build strong relationships and create a nurturing classroom environment
  • can work effectively as part of a team alongside support staff and therapists
  • holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

We can offer:

  • a supportive, caring school community with a strong team ethos
  • the opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils’ lives
  • pupils who respond positively to creative and engaging teaching
  • high levels of support from experienced LSAs and leaders
  • ongoing professional development tailored to your career goals
  • a well-resourced and supportive working environment

We welcome applicants to come and view our school. You can make an appointment to do this by calling 01427 619360.

INSPIRE Connected Communities Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure, medical and reference checks. Applicants may be subject to a social media presence check
