Role
We are
committed to providing an exceptional education for all our learners and we are
now seeking a passionate, dedicated and creative Head of Geography
to join our team. You will play a
pivotal role in shaping the educational journey and personal development of
young learners. You will
contribute to raising standards of attainment and facilitate a learning
experience that allows individuals to fulfil their potential.
Lyndon is
part of Summit Learning Trust comprising Lyndon itself, Ninestiles Academy,
Cockshut Hill School five primary schools and the Sixth Form College
Solihull. The leadership team of Lyndon is progressive and has the
vision, drive and support to lead the academy on a journey of excellence, with
colleagues that have a passion for teaching and learning. Join us and you will
be part of an improving academy with a strong team ethos. We believe in
working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve
great things, as we further develop innovative teaching and learning
strategies.
Here at Lyndon School, we aim to broaden horizons, build confidence and encourage our learners to explore new skills, creating opportunities for learners to become compassion, confident and successful individuals. Right now, we are looking for an inspiring teacher who can bring Geography to life, with passion, creativity and create a nurturing environment within which everyone can reach their full potential.
You should be able to teach Geography across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 with an interest in the breadth of cross curricular opportunities of Humanities based subjects. A real interest in developing pedagogy and practice is also important. This post will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to work with colleagues from across our trust and beyond to develop best practice and collaboratively plan for the delivery of an outstanding, innovative curriculum. Lyndon is a school with strong learner outcomes and a vibrant community; this is an exciting opportunity to become part that journey and develop your leadership journey.
