Learning Support Assistant & Site Manager (split role)

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000

Morning Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

You will:

  • Work 1:1 with vulnerable pupils, supporting their learning, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children who need consistency and care
  • Support classroom activities alongside the class teacher
  • Adapt approaches to meet individual needs, including SEND and SEMH
  • Be a calm, steady, and positive presence in a busy classroom environment

This part of the role requires patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping children thrive.

Afternoon Role: Site Manager

You will:

  • Take responsibility for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises
  • Carry out basic repairs, DIY tasks, and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure the site is safe, secure, and well-presented
  • Manage small projects and liaise with contractors when needed
  • Support with health & safety checks and site compliance

This part of the role suits someone practical, proactive, and resourceful - someone who enjoys solving problems and taking pride in their environment.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children (school-based experience is a bonus)
  • Has strong DIY or maintenance skills
  • Is adaptable and enjoys variety in their day
  • Can switch confidently between nurturing support and practical tasks
  • Is calm under pressure, organised, and reliable
  • Takes initiative and ownership in both roles
